This may be snide enough

It's likely that everyone knows about this, but... Stephen Colbert's address to the White House correspondents dinner.

This is my kind of comedy... Colbert tearing into the president with the man sitting fifteen feet away. The discomfort experienced by the whole audience is quite palpable, and palpably delightful.

Southern Poland. Well, Krakow is a must. You can also go to Auschwitz, which is about an hour and a half or so from Krakow. Another easy trip would be to the salt mines at Wieliczka. Surprisingly impressive.

Somewhere around Krakow is Czestochowa, home of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, which is the major icon of Polish Catholicism. Although, if you aren't Catholic or a history nerd, I'm not sure that's all that interesting. (I didn't go there five years ago when I was in Poland.)

There are also some national parks and stuff in the Polish Tatras, which would be good for hiking and outdoorsy stuff.
